I had a problem too m8 I updated the sound drivers and it cleared it up. My problem was the sound was a double speed. Hope this helps Dave and you get it sorted. We shall have to arrange a net session with all the racers on here.

I've got this game. Never played it online though. Which site is it that has the patches I'll inevitably need so I can whoop you all???

Sounds like i'm doing 10.000rpm just to get away Shocked , come to think of it, that's how all my bikes sound on take-off!!! Laughing Laughing Laughing
But anyway, where do you get the update from.
Cheers Dave.

Dave you need to find out what your sound card is or either your onboard sound on the motherboard and go to the manufacturers site and download them. so you will need a new XP driver for the sound

It's a great game alright, and way better than THQ's MotoGP efforts. There's a top site at

http://www.gp500store.co.uk/

with loads of patches, sound sets, bikesets, rider skins etc... GP125s to MotoGP, via streetbikes, supermotos, World Superbike/Supersport... There are also links to other sites with more stuff.

Mick.

having found the game after about 4 years, i installed it and it ran fine(on xp pro), as for your problem, did you install the patch after the install, also run the game setup(sould be in start>all programs>microprose>sound test) and try the different settings

good look
its a great old game

regards
john
