Can anyone help me in determining if i am going to have an issue with DMV!!

There is no smog test for motorcycles at all that is required for registration at DMV. I believe the one requirement is that the "foreign" or out of state bike needs to have at least 7,500 miles on the odometer to be transferred. If it makes you feel better, I have three RZ350's and the oldest one is nearly 15 years old in my care and I have never ever had to smog any of them.

the 84 RZ was NOT available in CA, they had a special the year after (1EL)
If you've got a title for the OH bike, it might be easier to rego it in CA.
IF you haven't got a title, search the kawasakitriples worldwide board for the name of the company that is good at it... some went under.

I registered an '84 RZ350 that was originally sold in Arizona which I did have the Arizona title to. The DMV wanted to see the Arizona title, the last Arizona registration, and they took great pains in making sure they saw the emissions sticker that is located under the left side cover. I asked the DMV employee what would happen if the sticker was not there and for what it's worth, he said no sticker, no registration in CA. There was no smog check which was good because my pipes have no cats.
