I'm on gibbon (7.10) still. Heron is pre-release still at this point, oui?

Ok ... it is a final release. Upgraded through Gutsy 64 bit. Firefox ver is v3b5, so most extensions and themes are broken now. Amarok doesn't work (comes up but won't play anything through my M-Audio 2496). VLC plays all correctly though. NVidia control panel works but I can't apply Visual Effects (ie Compiz Fusion). Like Gutsy, Herron's Grub will incorrectly map Ubuntu and Windows boot drive in a dual boot situation if you let it. Wants hd(3,2) instead of the correct hd(1,2). Minor problems really ... it runs very well otherwise. I may dump and install fresh (best way with Windows, why not Ubuntu).

I have got compiz running easy enough, just my wireless now, stable as in avalanche zones, trouble with ralink drivers, it is well known about Sad

Firefox plugins will eventually get sorted, as developers update .

I hear that loads of folks are having trouble with audio, hoping that my issuses are sorted in the next week

Ok, I'm now a Mac boy, last year it was either Linux or Mac but we decided on Mac.

Linux is pretty good from what I hear, much better than anything from Microsoft (Vista is why we left for Mac)

cheers

Matt

I use 80110X but have been known to 5H1TE. CR4P is quite good too but you need to use 4R5E0LE. If you haven't got 4R5E0LE you can't CR4P but then I don't give a T055 cos it's all 80110X.
