Hi. I've got yet another question. Got my '86 ypvs running last week-sounded great, but noticed engine oil a tad low. Obviously i topped this up, strangely now it wont start. Any idea's why?

Also tacho and lights didn't work, are these on one fuse? If so which as i checked they all look fine?

Baffled? i am!

If i had this problem, after checking the fuses, i would then check all connections again. Then take the plugs out, fit them back into the caps, earth them and spin the engine up checking for a spark. Make sure the fuel is off though and a load of fuel get chucked out the top of the plug hole and hit the plug.

If there is no spark then you have a starting point.
Make sure both plus are ground at the same time though and you are checkin them together.

Let us know how ya get on.

They may look fine but have you checked continuity Question A lot of PV fuse holders are made out of rubbish steel and fracture when you try to close them up a bit. I had the same problem, and so have others, swapped mine for some brass ones out of an FZ600. Might be worth looking over other connections, maybe from the ignition switch, or the side stand switch if still fitted.
