Still having a problem with the bike bogging down just below the powerband. Sometimes it hits the powerband OK but at about 7500revs instead of the 6000 or so it used to be before a 5 months layup.

A friend who used to race an RD 350LC thinks it may be because the needle valves in the float chambers are not sealing properly and the float level is not constant so the mixture keeps changeing. We have in fact a frequent problem in this area, in that sometimes the carbs flood and you have to tap them to stop this - though mostly engine vibration seems to make the seat seal. Where can I get some new float chamber needles please for a reasonable price, so that I can check if this is my problem because obviously all is not well here?

The problem with flooding is not the usual one by the way, where a fuel filter has a hole in it and lets grot from the tank get stuck under the float needle - the filter is OK.

If you're in Essex you may not be too far from Stinkwheels/Gibson Exhausts, worth giving them a shot at it if you can't get a solution

The needles can look ok but in fact the rubber has petrified so the pressure of the floats isn't enough to seal. If Stinkwheels can't help with replacements, maybe try Allens Performance
