went to stafford, for some strange reason i feel like I want to build some old brit junk, in a flat track style, but with modern running gear,
do i need to seek psychatric help Very Happy

there's a guy local to me, got a Norton Commando motor in a modern Chassis, upside-downies etc.

Takes it to the local bike show & manages to upset absolutely everyone. the rusty / oily brit brigade don't like it, as it has jap bits on it, & the jap lovers just don't get it.

Looks great to me & sounds fabulous. Give it a go. Or come to your senses & use an XS650 motor. Remember the first Yellow & Black Kenny Roberts bikes were flat-trackers.

sold a zxr400 front and rear end that ended up in a bsa ...loooked so wrong it looked right..go for it !

me mates doing the ultimate upset the purists brit bike...featherbed frame, that he's hascked about to fit a halco tubed xs650 lump in... Shocked

I did think about a xs650, but if your going to do it you must as well use the real thing ie some old pile of crap trumpet,
its nice to see that other fools have had the same idea, all the more if it winds up purists Very Happy
