hi all, theres a bit of play in my 350lc rear shock and to be honest i was considering putting a longer one on to improve the looks (it looks a bit low at the back) and also improve the handling.my bike is standard (pipes, swingarm, wheels etc) my question is this:

has anyone fitted a longer one to lift the back end up? has anyone got any pics with standard set up and how much higher will it go? has anyone got a contact for one they recommend?. i've seen an extra long one on norbos page i might give him a tinkle and ask his advice.

in the mean time any pics would be gratefully accepted.

thanks in advance

ian

Isn't the 125lc shock slightly longer?

Unlikely the handling will improve as result, certainly it will be easier to wheelie with a raised rear. Test the theory by dropping your triple clamps approx an inch.
Play in the shock? in the ssock eye/bush hole perhaps OR the shock pin/bolt where it fits the frame ?

i used a screw in jack up,cost me 17 quid and put it in in few mins, lifted the back too high so i cut bit off it and it now got nice lift to it(will post pics soon)has made the handling well nervous tho,so ill prob take few more mil off it,looks the dogs tho and it beats payin 65 for nk jack up.plus if its too high for your liking you just lop off what you want, have pics on another thread here of it before i cut it

I built my own from 10 and 5mm steelplates welded them together etc. It works fine, think i made it 29 or 30mm hole to hole. Can't remember now.

Yeah, i shall raise it at the front, it's a bit unstable at higher speeds. And don't bother about all the crap in the background! Laughing Rolling Eyes And i didn't paint the front wheel goldish!!
