Do you think it posable to get 60BHP from a 250cc lc not a 375 or with nos but a 54X54 250 lc . With a shed load of stuff on tuned etc. But do you think it possable. Bare in mined that a race winning lc will put out around 45 at the back wheel.

The factory race teams gets well over 100 on their 250's... but you might end up with just too little metal to cut into when porting..

People have managed to get 120 out of their 500's, and they have a 90 degree intake and very little metal to work on in the barrels. The 250LC ones should have alot more to play with, so Im voting yes, if the tuner really, really knows his stuff, and you go for expensive coatings barrel/piston, with zeeltronic ignition and perfect pipes....

Yes and you know full well it is.

Just depends on how much green mail you are prepared to throw at it and how often you are prepared to rebuild it / maintain it with fresh rings and pistons, plugs, cranks etc.. and if you can get a decent nickle siliconcarbide plater to do the bores - use ceramics downstairs / right pipes for it and can live with a powerband thinner than a razors edge.

Sounds fun to me !!

beek With today's technoledgy id say yes. pretty tight but possible.

decent porting and carbs. modern electrics and pipes.

but i dont think youd have a reliable motor.

Close to or possible depending on the dyno. Motoplat, head and exhaust port work with big carbs will do the trick. 350 with similar clock 86bhp and thats about as far as it goes.

Beast.

It is posible there is a lot of work to do with the barrels but If you have the wrong pipes on all the porting work would be a wast of time and you will not get the perfornamce that you are looking for as the pipes will hold it back big time

I would say it is possible with exactly the right combination of parts and plenty of dyno time. Some of our race 250LCs over here are putting out 45-55hp on the dyno.

However, one of the fastest bikes has less than 50hp but a nice grunty power curve. More power is not always better. And this bike runs on standard 26mm carbs! Bigger carbs have been tried, but with no improvement.
