gear box oil

 whats the best oil to run in a 31k gear box?

Location: up the shed fettlin a 2 stroke
 check out www.silkolene.co.uk and look at the product chooser

i use light gear oil, or 10/40 semi synth mobil a mate that works a kwik fit gives me

how many miles has the gearbox done>?

If it's recently been rebuild then (as mentioned) Silkolene do a light gear oil that works very well.
Alternatively, something like Castrol 5-30 is about the same.

If it's a bit older and been around the block a bit, use a standard gear oil or 10 - 40.
