I have a rare opportunity to sandblast (or glass bead blast) and paint some exhaust pipes over the weekend. The lc2 stock pipes I have might go back or on the lc later on so I'll paint them as well.

The left (or right?) LC2 stock exhaust has been welded before as a baffle plate was loose. I could as well open them both and weld back on.

The steel mesh must go I suppose, I don't remember how many baffle plates there are but what should be done there?

And anyone know how to remove chrome on tuning exhaust rear silencers? Acid/base?

Im currently modifing stock Lc exhausts here in Oz I have been running my prototypes now for 2 years.

Basically they get cut in half re profiled and a end can on the back.

If you do a search in the for sale section you will find them.

They were designed for the street and have a great spread of power to 9500 app.

Im really pleased with mine I went down the road of experimenting with all sorts of chambers but at the end of the day I was really after a street chamber with good all round usuable power .

I currently have 25 standard sets ready to be done price is $600 aus +post.

Many thanks Disqmaster for your help!

As you can see from the belly back its all new,Ive created a slip joint at the header which is sprung.

If anyones after a good all round street chamber these are them, with a good all round spread of power without all the compromises you get with others.

Let me know your thoughts?

Ant

These chambers were designed around a stock Lc,Ive been running the prototypes now for 3years they are a tuned length !.

Ive been down the road of buying chambers and never been satisfied with the outcomes ie loss of bottom end or all power at the top.

Who wants a pig to ride on the road ,these are designed for the street so you can growl around at 3000 through traffic then crack it open when the opportunity arrises.

Im running standard setup airbox, intakes slightly cleaned up ,26mm carbs.

Power figures band comes in at 6000-6500 and it drops of at 8500-9000rpm,remember these are street chambers not race chambers .

Remember each bike is different the idea of bolt on mods without the mucking around of jetting was the idea, bolt on performance goodies based around gibsons and allspeeds .

Sound is beautiful really sweet and a lovely crack to boot!!!!
