I saw this pic and wonder if it's possible to do the same on a lc case? Is it anything apart from the filter to be fitted you need? Some junk inside maybe? I understand that there are probably big threads on the alloy plate for the filter, but apart from that, is it possible to just smack it on and run?
And most important, is it worth the job?

The LC gearbox doesn't have an oil pump so no need for a filter. It has splash lubrication. Oil filters are for 4 strokes

Yeah, wot Rich said, if thats a 4LO case Im most curious of the other mods carried out on the engine... absolutely no use for an oilfilter as there is ball bearings, no oil pump, and oil doesnt get contaminated by the explosions in the engine (carbon etc)... filters are mainly there to avoid debris of getting into the bearing surfaces on 4 stroke crankshafts..

Oh allright. Didn't know they had an oilpump.
It's not an lc case btw, some single cylinder 4-stroke engine. Think he placed the engine in a R1 frame!

Aye, could have moved it because aftermarket exhaust wouldn't alow easy removal.
