Post subject: Insert image in post or just the link to it?

Just wondering, what is best? It seems the mod are taking the "[img][/img]" off to make it only a link. Not that i have a problem with it, i just wonder if it's always prefered when posting pics? Or is it only with big pics? Slowing down the forum maybe?

I didn't see the picture you are speaking of, but if it was extremly large, it could have been changed to make it easier to view.
