I have just fitted KR1S carbs to my hybrid, I decided to use the complete right hand throttle & switch assembly from the same bike as I thought this would be the easiest route. All was good until I found that the KR oil pump cable was too short so I have fitted the YPVS cable into the KR splitter Very Happy am I correct in thinking that at full throttle the oil pump should be at its max setting?

Thanks in advance,
Mark...

as far as i know it depends on what model of ypvs your pump is off, some are set closed, some are set fully open, what marks are on your pump? and does it have a yellow paint spot on one of the screws under th pulley?

That's all well and good but as noted above not all are set using the same method so it shouldn't be taken as gospel except for THAT model - pumps are all the same whether LC or PSYV thingie - just the settings/method is different.

Mark, I havn't had problems myself but have read on here about people putting the cable the wrong way on the oil pump end by mistake, easily done apparantly - just something to be aware of Wink

Your right Nok ... discrepancy between Yamaha & Haynes section with RZ-LCII. Not a big deal though as I believe the pin is on the high plateau of cam in either case, and neither is pin bound at idle position. Is Haynes F/N correct? If anyone has the applicable Yamaha F/N section, I'll dump the Haynes and replace with factory goodness.

edit: the discrepancy is that Yamaha's is with throttle closed, where Haynes is wide open. In short, all models have the same no slack idle set point.
