The same thing happened to my mate Danny on the Isle of Man. He has no recollection of the accident but remembers eating cornflakes on the morning in question. His tyre print was found on the headstock of the other bike and he was charged with manslaughter and had to return to the IOM voluntarily for charges. He did so and they were dropped.

The other rider was killed instantly. When Dan was found apparently his helmet was filled with jelly and face unrecognisable but you'd never tell now. His jaw is pinned side to side amongst other bolts etc. He never liked fish before the accident now its his favourite food..!

Beast.

Yeh this is pretty gruesome as was the other one posted by somebody else.
These sort of vids really make me feel queezy but I guess if one person sees this and it makes them moderate the way they ride, especially in wet conditions like that, then it is worth it. Confused

Plus he did say what the vid was of and you don't have to watch it.

Both good points,
for me it's that moment when you think 'oh no, it'll be close but ok' and then - someone is a statistic.

harsh but brings it home.

These vids are mild compared to some on the net. It's not because they're grusome, just the fact that I'll bet every forum member on here has binned it or had much to close a shave.
Everybody knows the risks we take and posting some vids of people dying isn't going to make the slightest bit of difference.
Sure on some 125 and 50 forums they make make some sense but on this forum I find it strange someone would post them.

I agree, years ago when I used to Marshall at Cadwell we would thrash the bikes all the way there, after a full days marshaling and after having seen some bad things, we would all set off home riding really steady, for about 2 mile that is Exclamation

It's a good warning - combined speed must have been massive.
We often don't realise how fast these things we ride really are, probably partly because the bikes themselves are so capable we feel safer than we actually are.
