I assume you measured your static angle properly before setting it?

Very difficult to diagnose...especially as it runs.. just not well. Might be sod all to do with ignition...but something you've screwed whilst fitting it.

did you wire it so you could interchange with the stock unit....??? guessing not else you would have tried that.

Static Angle is not 26.5....thats approx max advance....static angle should be around 33/34. VCDI/CDI will work fine with that.

Timing is more obvious than not revving, it would pop/fart/get hot and not go properly at all. Even with a flat 10deg curve in mine it revs clean enough to 12,000. I dont think its timing..????

I had a problem once where I set the max advance in my programmed curve to be more than the static value. I seem to remember doing something like you and setting static to 26 and max adv in curve to 30....this does screw things up.

i have got the same problem on my 485 lc it would not start at static angle of 34 deg but started at 29deg and 30deg and now it wont rev past 6900rpm . i have sent it back to borut and he tested it and found no problems .i put mine back to standard before i put the zeeltronic on and no problems

hi thanks for your replys last night put the stock cdi back on good blue spark .so i then checked wiring again one of my black wires on cdird7 had a bad connection so put that right and now i got a spark havent ridden it yet will keep you posted z1100r you state static is not 26.5 thats max advance how do you come to this theory .what i did is file stator to max and then fully advance stator which is as i said 26.5 degree .so this is static angle or am i missing something.????

Yeah I don't think its possible to get 34 degrees on the LC stator without A LOT of hacking into the plate.

Can't remember for sure, but I think mine ended up at about 26.5 also.

I'm with Gareth though.. I don't think the problem will be with the Zeeltronic.

By the way, if you're running an LC, why didn't you just stick to the standard CDI and just use the VCDI with standard CDI?

Is the original LC ignition "Lost Spark"? Quick way to determine is if it has 2 spark plug leads coming off 1 coil.
