Haveing a play with plugs and jetting and have decided to try removing the snorkel and rejeting to see if I get any gains.
What sort of increas in jet size and needle clip moves would be needed.
I have just dropped the circlip and will get 230 + 240 jets on Monday or Tuesday if they arn't open in the mornning.
Sounds a bit louder too Laughing

just done a few runs up and down the local ind est, and it can now lift the front wheel with a tiny bit of help, which it wouldent do b4.
I will try again with 230 jets to see if it makes any more difference next week.

Fix the squish (0.9mm) and raise the exhaustport 1.5mm and it will throw you off in first gear....

.......and in second gear if we are talking about a 350 (4L0) with standard pipes.

Send me a PM if you want a copy of the tuning I did on my 4L0 13 years ago.

not stripping engine again now, already has skimmed and reprofiled head, fiber reeds, Zeeltronic VCDI and Allspeeds, and im on a diet and already lost a stone Laughing
Not wanting to go too far from standard on this one, so what is done will do.
Thought about KR1S carbs and YPVS cages but cant be arsed with it, might aswell stick a standard valve lump in it, as I want to keep the midrange.

Lc with Yvps engine, Zeel PV setup (zeel Ign still sitting in it's shipping envelope) 0.9mm squish "cleaned' but not altered ports, banshee f'glass reeds, Microns, no snorkel, OEM filter though, Vm26 carbs 230 mains.. lifts the front wheel at approx 6k rpms on demand by throttle twist , no clutch action needed.. Pain in the ass actually.. Wheelies just cost speed /acceleration imo.. Circus act antics are just a nuisance, will have to reduce rear sprocket as front is already @ 17 tooth.

Hello scratchers, Don`t mean to sound like a d**k but the afore mentioned "snorkel" is that the partition in the air box?

Snorkel is the rubber inlet that sits in the airbox lid on an LC.

Post the mods up...I'd be interested to see them.
