This wont be all that quick Nick....stock carbs at the moment...god knows what pipes yet....I've still got loads to do....everything I try to do involves a massive search for parts....just had to ressurect my original 500 carbs...strip down clean up jet blah blah....still not found a wiring harness yet....I must have one somewhere...!!! Barrels are a right mis-match...
0.5 oversize and 1.00 oversize rears....std size tuned fronts.... std heads.
Brand new RZperformance clutch though...probably Jolly pipes....all stock bodywork...the roughest I've got. Hmmm...why am I doing this.....cos I dont want to drop a decent stock bike.

Oh well...come to a grinding halt...got no more airbox bolts and spacers left, just cant find any...so I thought sod it.....stick the 28 PWK's on.....dam it only half a choke lever- no lid....balls I'll fit the left hand KR1 switch gear (just a bit of wiring) with the choke lever on and make up some cables.

So I sets about removing the oil pump and making a blanking plate - might aswell be premix...swap the manifolds for the plugged up ones....have to make an upper fairing bracket as no airboxes...tum te tum..lah de lah...going great...found the wiring harness and its a beaut..like new..fit that...right lets get these PWK's out.....OH SH*T...NO,NO....s*d it...loads of horible words.....I nicked all the internals of the PWK 28's for those dammed Kosos's on the ZXR...nuts...oh what a waste of a day....crap...crap.

Whilst typing this...I suddenly thought what am I on about...I've got loads of PWK's somewhere...even another set of 4....haha..panic over.....Jesus its 9 oclock... Shocked

So anyway ..spent the whole day on it...and it looks exactly as the pic only with the carbs took off... Rolling Eyes

Secided to take a different approach...went to the pub and had a think about it......Got back and FOUND the spare RG500 throttle cable...so I've got a 4 pull....found a couple of return RD throttle cables so the 2-1 bodies can be used for choke...and Ive got the parts Daz made to fit stock airboxes on KR1 carbs....so if only I could find or make some spacers/bolts I could fit the stock airbox...think I'll spend tomorrow night on the lathe....will enjoy that. I have a complete white fibre glass RD fairing...an all white tank and some all white side panels...so might not look too bad....from a distance.... trouble is I've got to spend all day at work tomorrow...crap...more thinking.... Crying or Very sad
