matched the float bowls,put in new plunger,blew out choke airlines with compressed air,still wont work,any ideas?4lo btw

Rookie question. You have got the floatbowls on the right carbs? and the pipe connecting the 2 carbs is present?

So what makes you think the choke doesn't work? If it's starting problems, this could be caused by other things such as iffy stator coils. is the rest of the bike all standard?

reason being rich,when i eventually get it started,i pull on the choke and it makes no difference to the way it runs,worked fine up till few weeks ago.starts fine when its warm,only when its been sittin a day will it take an effort,surely choke related so?

thats what i meant by matchin the floatbowls,and yes the balance pipe is present

Something blocked, or you got an airleak somewhere that evens out the extra choke fuel... any other signs of airleaks? (Like hard to settle on idle)

So has he got the correct float bowl on the appropriate carb? As mentioned the 2 carb float chambers are different, the carb with the choke lever has an extra jet fitted in the float bowl, make sure you have these the correct way round or the choke wont have any effect.. It was mentioned earlier but I haven't seen an answer.

sorry thrasherg,yes for the third time i have the float bowls correct,this thing is becoming a real pain in the arse to start,gonna strip the carbs again tonight for another clean.
