do I need to cut out the centre peice and go to a single square reed, or use a reed like the metal ones and make the holes as large as possible.

If the barrels are off get the inlets ground out and fit YPVS ones.

not taking them off again yet, I hope. Want to stay with standard cages at the moment as its an easy mod for me to do, got a pair for £5. Cant remember if the reed on the bike are a single pettel fiberglass or twin like the metal ones, so may need to buy new ones to fit.

Yanaha YZ125 ('86) Fiberglass reeds they are 3 petal ...just saw oof the 3rd petal.and they fit perfectly.. fairly priced too.
LC reeds could be bigger but it's the oem porting then the carb size hat is the flow bottleneck.

i can show you what i did to mine, most of it anyway (31k) ...

dunno if it will do anything as i am not finished yet.

removed 'casting errors' and went more up and more down + gave it a nicer angle.

Is the intake port raised or did he fill the thing to get rid of that wall on the upper side? The bump you see (on a stock barrel) when you look into the intake. Question

Anyway, this is what i did with my reeds. Sorry about the bad pic, i didn't know how to take good pics. Embarassed I would never remove the middle bridge thing though. It makes the reed flaps more stable.
