g'day. name is glen and i'm here on the east coast of oz.

had a brief look around the site and for once i don't feel so alone in my love of premix and transfer ports.

love me dt200 though shes currently out of service with a bung water pump seal. fairly faithful old axe and the best value vehicle i've ever owned. only upsetting aspects are decoking the power valve and a propensity to eat rear brake pads.

have other bikes too though none of the tuning fork variety relevant to this site.

first bike was a 83 pw50 and dream of an rz500 someday.

will flitter in and out occasionally and hope to help and be helped when the need arises.

thanks for your time, engel.

hi. down a tad in mackay snowman, and dealing with the humidity as bet as can. ordered a water pump seal, impeller, and clutch case gasket today to cure the yoghurt factory that is my gearbox.

still get my two stroke buzz while shes out of commission commuting on my MZ es250/2, and spannering on a rg250w i'm fixing at work that was too cheap not to buy.

as for the rz conversion: the factory donk does well enough to leave well enough alone so will give it a miss. shes a 95 model and my second (retained my 89 as a spares bike when the rear wheel shit itself) and with 20000 klicks on this current build shows little in the way of wanting to explode.

thans for the welcome fellas.

glen.

threw the rg250 at the strip. ran a 16.2 sec quarter at 79 mph. stoked. 200 bucks and just a full on giggle to thrash. geared to the moon, as you can leave her in third till just beyond 60 mph and still three to go but ran out of road.

what a ball.
