I'm gonna buy this bike saturday regardless of what I'm
gonna ask as I'm gonna get it for £75.00 anyway.
But does anyone know if a 350 YPVS top end will go on this
as easy as a 4L0 does on a 4L1? Obviously there will be oil
pump/delivery issues, jetting/carbs/exhaust etc.
But is there any major engineering headaches involved?
ATB.

Wow, that looks a bargain for 75 quid.. Can't go wrong at that price. I have no idea about the barrel swap.

Bargain ain't the word!!!
I'm buying it any way and gonna thrash the nuts out of
it but, if a 350 convo is feasable, I may chnge my mind.
Aren't those emission laws wonderful!!!!

I believe it goes straight on - you will need head, barrels & powervalves, the powervalves are smaller in the 250, to the best of my knowledge.

Not sure if oilpump is the same or not.

That's a cracking buy.

Yeah, it is, I get the impression it ain't worth the seller
the aggro getting it through the Swiss MOT cos of what
it's putting out emissions wise. If I can up it to 350 and
get a tune that complies, happy days!! Classic bikes
here don't come under this legislation like the 250YPVS
does, unlike the 25 year old 4L1's that are here hence
the price difference like this one which is on the same
auction for £750.00 at the mo!!

@Bryanbengal LOL!!!!

yes the 350 top end fits right on same crank and everything just up jet the carbs and turn up the pump and you are away. But ofcourse replacing the pump and carbs are better but it will still run with the 250 set up .

can you get it through by setting it lean at the bottom end or at what ever range the test is done at. Or is it noise related, which you could do what the bike manufactures have done on modern bikes and jet rich at that rpm, makes a joke of the emission regs rearly.
