Well due to financial situation had to sell my bike on the understanding that the guy wouldn't sell it on to make a fast buck. My dissapointment in seeing it on e-bay this morning goes without saying. The complete fairy story the guys written about it is unbelieveable! For a start the decals on one side of the tank are crap. How he got it through an mot with tyres that look like crazy paving are beyond me! I sold it for £950... Wish I'd kept it now so it could've gone to a good home. The guy told me he was going to keep it and would look after it.Ever got the feeling you've been swindled?
To make matters worse 3 days after selling it I got word I've got a new job! This isn't a bleeding heart story it just pisses me off that you can take somebody at face value and you'll fall for their bullshit.Naieve maybe. Oh well such is life.Tosser! Even had the cheek to ask me if I had any other parts could I get in touch as he's collecting them? Moan complain moan!

I wanted a bike last year and the bloke was seling it at a good price. if i had got it i would have kepet it and added it to my permonent colection it realy was a nice bike . But i was in the garden playing with my son when he tryed to PM me and he sold it to someone elce . That someone elce sold it on at the begining of this year for allmot 3 times what he payed for it.

beek when you sell a bike or whatever. you sell it.

you had a understanding with some one you didnt know ? i would of thought you were just sorry for it to go and didnt want it resold..but you sold it and it now belongs to some one else. How many times have you heard the story man buy bike takes it home wife goes mad has to sell. if its worth more than you sold it for then he got a deal. we all like deals i get some so do others. but i dont moan at losses , well not on tthe forum,

It sounds as if you shouldnt of sold it full stop. You could always buy it back.

Yes, i feel for you BUT, when i sell a bike, once i get the money, i don't care if he pores gas on and sparks it up in front of me.If he goes to the trouble of reselling at a profit, then so be it. He 's not blood. He is a stranger.
When i have bought a bike, and the sellers says it needs to go to a good home, be taken care off, blah blah blah, i 'll tell him i am going to use it to feed starving kids in Africa, if thats what he wants to hear!

Sorry, go buy another one, there are lots out there.
Hopefully see you back with another one
good luck
gerry

I completely agree with all of the above. Yep when its sold its sold.
But.......If I'd had any idea it was then gonna be resold in a matter of weeks I wouldn't have parted with it....The guy assured me he was looking for a bike to keep and ride. Maybe I'm just a mug who takes people at face value. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Ignore all the cynics IanMac
i agree with you and if anyone sold it believing the new owner was going to keep it and look after it well then flogs it straight away, they would feel a bit peeved off too.

i bought a 31k and 125lc from ebay/forum member with the same talk i got them at a mates rate and that i was to look after them...i have done that and continue to do so...im genuine and can see ianmacs point but tbh £950 was too cheap for a nice bike like that....sorry you sold and now see it on ebay but seen it done with bits ive sold and bikes ive sold also.
not nice mate is it??
