Are you on dial up?

Is ur pc fulla germs?

Have you tried defragging it a few time?

How long has it being since it was bought?

Have u checked your start up progs list?

Have u defragged your resistry?

Have you cleaned the system of excess bullshit like cookies and temp files?

What security do u use?

Whats your operating system? windows XP?

Trying to diagnose a pc's probs online and remotely is never easy if not imposible!!!

But answering my questions will help us to have a shot at diagnosing the problem!

Defrag meaning windows utility right?

Its shit!

Try this for totally free!

http://www.defraggler.com/

It stuffs other paid utilities!!!

http://www.ccleaner.com/download

Free and an amazing programme for ridding ur system of shit and excess weight!.......

It also handles cookies, deletions, add/remove, start up and other functions!

Before you load any of these progs I advise you make a restore point to be safe!!!

CCleaner also has a registry cleaning function and when it asks you to make a back-up before it cleans then do so!...........

As u have reformated only a short time ago I am perplexed by ur system still being slow.........

Perhaps u need a newer computer???

But if IE7 i okish then dump firefox as it is actually prone to catching germs and Apple are slower to react to them than Microsoft stuff!

Nowadays u need more than one scumware programme........

Ad-Aware Free!
Spybot search and destroy Free!
Windows defender free

Then u have to guard against 'root kits' Little bastards!!!

Paid for AVG 8 is a very good peice softy with loads to offer and also a limited free version is available.

But paying them £30 for 2 years definition updates and also softy upgrades is a bargain................

It also updates 4 times a day!
I prefer not to pay for softy but something like AVG's product is worth every penny as it's really on the ball!!!!!

http://free.grisoft.com/

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v98/Ardon1/ardon3/avscreen.jpg

On the paid version there is a 'link scanner' and what that does is quickly scan a google search results page and if it's a safe link then there is a green tick mark next to it!!!!

NOTE TO EVERYBODY!

The web is a hostile place and everyone needs a compliment of updated defences that can be found for free before they venture on-line!

On-line security is more important than anything else and as free versions can protect u from most nasties none of you have an excuse not to secure your system and scan it for germs regularly!!!

Just one peice of rouge software/germ can easily put u in a whole world of hell!!!

Firewalls!.........

XP has a one way firewall and is pretty basic.......

For a FREE very good and easy to use 2 way firewall Google 'COMODO!'

YOU ALL COULD BENEFIT FROM THIS LINK FOR ESSENTIAL FREE STUFF FROM COMODO!!!!!!

http://www.comodo.com/products/free_products.html

Zone Alarms firewall is good but it is resource hungry!!!!!!!

Any security software by Norton are also very resource hungry!!!

If u use ebay, on-line banking, buying on-line or use paypal then you have to make sure that ur pc is threat free because if u don't it could cost u dearly!!!!!!!!!!!

All u have to remember is:

SECURITY IS THE ONLY THING THAT IS DEFENDING YOU IN A VERY HOSTILE WORLD OF THE WEB!!!

Once your personnal details are on the web they will be there forever!!!!!!!!
