Jut picked this up for a mate of mine, been sat in a shed for 12 years since being imported from japan. Fairly sure the mileage is genuine, rest of it checks out anyway. Needs some cosmetic work but shall see what the engine is like tomorrow...
Anyone know anything about them?

There are lots of common parts with the NS400R for this model. Nice find!

Ah cool so they arent dog's then! I wasn't sure about it but thought what the hell, got to be worth it for the rarity value! Wasnt particularly cheap either, then again compare it to lc prices these days,,,,
Whats the performance like? Do ns400r forks fit? These ones are a bit pitted due to being stood

I think most NS400R bits fit. It is just a 400 with one of the front cylinders chopped off, so becoming a V-2 rather than a V-3.
I think the NS400R forks are 37mm.

Superb, thanks guys!
Just had it running, eek! Its got a fuel pump! ah well, that explains the hefty battery at least! Engine sounds sweet, nice and crisp. Fuel leaking out of all sorts of places, the worst being the feed in the middle of the carbs, should have an O ring or two to fit it somewhere in the shed..
Smells like a bike thats not run for 12 years too, and the spiders are making a sharp exit!

Sweet! Well it runs great now, seems to have stopped leaking fuel for the time being!
Going to take all the bodywork off today and give it a good clean underneath, try and suss what it needs for the mot.
