No auto-cancel on indicators, but can be fitted. Very Happy

Headlight glass pattern incorrect, so will need changing for MOT. Can be identified by looking through the glass, if you can see the bulb, it is UK spec, but if you can see an aluminium coloured disc in front of the bulb, it is a German spec one.

Check that the exhaust are 4L0 and not restricted 4L2 ones.

Side stand spring arrangement is different (god knows why?), but can be changed to uk spec.

Pattern UK spec rear mudguards are available if you want to change to UK spec.

I bought a brand new 4LO in 1982 while living in Germany.

The sidestand spring arrangement makes it self-retract with weight off, there was no 'kill switch' on the stand.

First day I had it I got it home and admired it of course, then I started it up again. Standing on the right with it on the sidestand as I kicked it the bike moved slightly to the right and the stand flipped up without me hearing it as the engine was running, let the bike over to the left back on to the sidestand which was no longer there, bike fell on its left side with me trying to let it down gently. Not happy!!

The stand spring came off that day, the tyres were changed about a week later (scary in the dry, whatever they were).

Fitted Microns, ported and Boyesen reeds, brought it back to the UK and sold it on.

Would like another one, amazing the prices they are fetching nowadays.

Cheers

Gary
