I have had porting work done by farhon ,has anybody on here used him for rebores as i may need this done and i am certainly not using the last famous tuner who supplied me with valve pistons and told me to fit an extra base gasket .

Valve pistons are fine in an LC if you remove the tab in the middle of the rear skirt. This is because the LC doesn't have a bridged inlet port.

Well this famous tuner never told me to file off the tangs ,just to fit an extra base gasket .When i was getting Farhon to do the tuning work i mentioned about the gasket and it was him that told me to file the tang level with the skirt.

had a few fahron motors in the past
an rd 200 that was bonkers (race bike)
and 3 430 rds, 1 based on a tz block
fast strong no probs they know their stuff
getting 4lo pistons is a problem just bought 2 from grampian motors
only to find that they're 31k pistons
oh well get the files out then

No idea why they would tell you to fit an extra base gasket.
I've been running RZ pistons in my LC for years.

Port timing, compression or squish (spelling??) maybe?

Farhon is good at what he does and i would recomend him . but dont expect top get the job done next day or anything . But when it is done he will do a top notch job .

Ron has done loads of work on my race bikes over the years
i have never ever had a problem and his stuff is always fast and reliable

I have had my top end done by him and it is very fast ,was just wondering if anyone had a rebore done by him .
