Hi,
just wondered if anyone can suggest the best method for cleaning up the engine cases. wondered if blasting would be too harsh?

Garry

Glass bead blasting works well. Look like new when they come back.
Just make sure you clean them well, as you don;t want abrasive left in the casings! You can jet wash them or clean them out with brake cleaner spray cans.

I have tried vapour blasting and glass bead blasting. Glass bead blasting usually costs £10 per set of casings. Vapour costs £20 to £30 for a set.

Vapour blasting left stains on the alloy, which the glass bead blasting did not.
