I know some of you will be scowling already but I hate the pro-am fairing but like the 31K one and as my bike is a hybrid anyway it sort of goes with the theme. I have a good 31k fairing but on offering it up to the bike it sits too far forward of the LC headlight. I could use a 31k headlight mounting bracket but will then end up with a gaping hole round the LC clocks. I could cut the fairing down to be a better fit and would not be bothered as long as the end result was good but would hate to ruin a gen faining in the process. Anyone have a pic of one fitted, as I'm sure that its been done a 1000 times already.

Cheers,
Mark...

Agreed; the Pro Am thing is Fugly and stoopid.
Have looked at fitting a Valvie fairing but the headlight being wayy too far back is the immediately obvious issue.
IMO there's no choice but to remount the LC headlight and the clocks... hardly a major undertaking as would be the sectioning and blending of a truncated fairing.

Rich You could run the 31K clocks as well? Both bikes have cable driven tacho and the same functions so the wiring should be pretty much identical.

I fitted a 31K fairing and belly pan on my first LC. Never liked the ProAm either, so bought the 31k stuff from a breakers for £20 quid. Had them painted to match and away you go. The headlamp sat too close to the forks, so either needed spacing away from the original headlamp brackets. What I did at the time was run one of those chrome grilles that you used to fit over Mini headlamps inside the fairing and kept the headlamp in it's original position. Looked ok, but thenm I was 17.

Will dig out some photo's for you.
