When they arrived from the factory they were not over lacquered (except on the tank), but most people doing a resto these days tend to. Not sure if the reproduction graphics produced these days are as hard wearing as they were, so might be worth lacquering them for peace of mind.

Thanks for the reply, The thing is my lc will never be standard or a show winner, i just want it ti be tidy but useable, i just thought maybe by putting some decals on my plain white paintwork it might just break it up a bit, also i would'nt take to much effort, Thanks again,,

Just thought I would throw this one in for what it is worth.
We have been experimenting with laminating decals and some of the small feature decals are done just so at present.
I have had a couple of LC sets laminated for people to create the OE effect and they have turned out fine.
Decals will if not laquered in pick up on the edges over the years but with care should last quite a bit of time.
A simple mans guide is that the decals are printed as normal then have a clear vinyl over the top before being cut out. The decals then have a shiney gloss look to them and do not require a laquer coat.
