stop brake fluid seeping out of the lid on 4l0 master cylinder. i repainted the master cylinder when i first got the bike about 6 months ago and noticed today that the paint has lifted because of fluid coming out . it has the rubber diaphram fitted and i cant tighten the screws much more on the lid. also can you get paper gaskets to go on exhaust stubs as well as the copper ring as keep getting oil seeping out after a spin!!
cheers all! Very Happy

Get a decent paint on it instead.. not aerosol cheapo stuff.. Smile

And yea, theres "paper" gaskets for the exhaust.

Be careful.

Theres probably a pip on the rubber that lines up with the cutout in the lid..if youve fitted the rubber 180 degrees out youve squashed it. I bought a brand new rubber for my original master cylinder which did not have a pip in it and this sealed the lid perfectly although you need to check for corrosion as well under the lid.

BUT..

after I fixed the lid Id done about a few miles and braked hard from 90 into a 30 zone and the sight glass seal burst spewing fluid everywhere...fortunately missing the tank..

Yes..my heart did miss a beat thank you..! New cylinder is available for 120 quid which is a lot cheaper than death.

Beast.
