None of the above. I was into slot car racing (AFX HO scale) for several years ... then RC cars.

Yeah I'll give you that. Purple hair and silver high heeled boots mmmm. But wot about Moonbase Alpha's Maya? O.K. a Ray Reardon widow's peak and Guy Martin bugger's grips aint real sexy but the ability to metamorph into any livin' thing would come in handy! She could change into a Yamaha partsman for a bit o'discount!. Oh no.....it's living things only!.

Those Dinky toys were certainly made to last, course, the tyres would sometimes get lost, along with any auxiliary ordinance & ejector seats etc but the bodies were fairly indestructable. Pretty useful playground weapons too - as a six year old, moving from Bradford to a not-exactly posh area in Brum and trying to understand the local lingo, my SPV came in handy for sorting out any communication problems. If I didn't understand what someone was saying to me, I'd whack em round the head with it. We used to race toy cars up and down the playground for most "dry" playtimes. One Xmas I got a realy nice MGBGT that was faster than anyone elses car. First time It beat everybody elses car by going the furthest distance, this kid, "Steven Clackan" was his name, picked my new shiny red MG up and chuked it down a drain
What a bugger

Saddest thing to see as a kid was an Interceptor minus it's front missile. Always got lost. Good grief, seeing that Joe 90 thing really took me back . Cheers for the thread!.

The Joe90 mobile was my favourite but I never saw one that didn't have the front wheel/arm bust. That's why they're fetching £300+ boxed I guess. I also had a Dinky(?) Tank and low loader that my gran bought for me from the post Office. It'd been in pride of place in the shop window for weeks and was the best thing that'd happened to me till then.
Anyone get into Hot Wheels and the track, tripple loops, power boosters, hairpins etc, etc?
