its a rz500 . zxr400 front end , rsvr rear end tzr 3ma fairing , harris yzr seat unit , not sure about the pipes . it has a r1 subframe welded on much higher up the frame rails , giving a more modern sitting on than in feel . so cheap i couldn't not buy it . luckily the seller accepted a deposit about six weeks ago while i got the rest of the cash together .

i honestly don't think i'm going to have anything running well enough to bring to the dyno day this year .

Spent about an hour pissing around with the carbs yesterday , stripping and cleaning . emptied the tank and refilled it with fresh fuel (premixed to 25/1 which was meant for the cr )

http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s52/GREENGOATCHOKER/th_rzrunning001.jpg

not bad considering all i got this morning was a fart and squip kind of sound as it tried to fire and then it pi**ed fuel all over the floor . it wouldn't rev and i heard no sound from the power valves as i switched it off .the power-valves were jammed so off they came for some degumming and life above 5k appeared as well .

now i know its smoking (but remember it sould be running at more like 40/1 ) and the small ends sound a little second hand , but i'm greasy and happy .

oh to update on the cr500 , the cdi's f***ed spent 1/2 hour talking to aj from service honda indiana usa . the pulser coils is doing its bit , the resistance values of the coil is good , took out the ignition switch and engine stop from the loop and checked for a good earth before finaly having to admit the capacitor in the cdi is not firing so got to wait for another to arrive (i'm starting to hate this bike now) .
