This is from my dyno test run from today. Was hoping for a bit more but at least i know there`s plenty left to come.
All thats been done to the motor so far is the lomas pipes, removed the silencer in the airbox with drilled lid and squish at 1mm. Its got f2 carbs with std jetting.
Let me know what you guy`s think and where i should be looking to improve on next.

Looks a bit low to me.

Mine with pipes, airbox silencer missing, squish at 2.3mm, std porting runs at 56.5 on Stinkwheels dyno

look at where its going...... the ignition is killing it at 8.5k....if you imagine it following the curve its on before that it would be doing around 55 at 10k....get a zeeltronic on it Wink

What CDI are you running, a swap to a 29K 50 or a 52Y 50 could loosen up them top end ponies Very Happy
My tired LC2 on standard jets with a set of swarbicks and mild tuning (ahem) did 55 on stinkwheels dyno (using a 52y 50 cdi)
It's now on 220 mains, had new rings and feels better than ever, just waiting on a new set of needles to clean it up as the originals are fooked

i agree looks like the ignition is killing it up top . isn't the f2 renowned for that . cheaper solution to the zeetronic is to buy and earlier cdi , a f or n or even a pre power valve lc one will do .

no thats just how the lomas' are, on stock timings at least. you might well fill that hole by playing with the PV timings....zeeltronic again.

interestingly, although the ignition on the f2 stops it at around 8.5k......the PV's arent fully open till 10k.....i made an argument quite some time ago now on here that the f2's ignition and PV timings were more to do with noise and emissions than performance, the zeeltronic kit gives you the opportunity to explore that avenue.

It on a 52Y cdi I think as the sticker was missing when i got the bike (in lots of bits). The stator matches the 52Y cdi on Norbo`s site so i`m guessing thats what it is. It`s a 31k engine in a LC by the way.
Zeeltronic is on the wish list.
It feels ok when riding but as you can see hits a brick wall earlier than I`d like.

Looks like your fueling is allll wrong, too rich at the top and too lean though the mid range. Confused

LC's and valves run better with a standard air box. Yamaha didn't spend millions of Yen developing a bad airbox.
Drilling the lid and removing the inlet trumpet will lose all the air pressure through the carbs and upset the fueling. Sad Embarassed

I would replace the standard airbox lid and inlet trumpet and go down two sizes of main jet and lift the needles a notch to richen the midrange.

...........But thats only my opinion. scratch I'm sure someone else will be along soon with their thoughts. bom

Good luck. thumright

p.s. My N1 made 59 hp with a road tune and some fantastic pipes..........and a totally standard airbox and ignition. Smile

Don't worry about the number that the dyno reads.
Use it to measure your improvements and that's all.

You could very well put your bike on one of the other guys dynos and get 55hp too.
