Hi folks

scratch Just about to put chain back on when I find that the sprockets on my 4L0 with standard wheels and 530 sprockets will not line up. More importantly I cannot fit the lock tab on the front sprocket. The spacer looks far to big and measures 19mm in depth.

As I bought this bike in bits is it possible that this is a power valve spacer as it looks like the previous sprocket was 520 or smaller? Anybody know the depth for the 4L0 standard spacer, I estimate around 14mm. I`m hoping that its the wrong spacer otherwise the engines back out again and split as must have done something wrong inside.

Nightmare prospect aaaarghhh

Rich Yep, sounds like you have a YPVS spacer. The good news is you won't have done anything wrong inside the motor as the output bearing has a locating circlip around it so can only fit in the correct place. You need an LC front spacer, or to have the YPVS one shortened down the same length (14.2mm according to Billy)

Thanks folks

Very Happy I was meticulous in the rebuild so didn`t think anything was astray inside its just nice to have thoughts confirmed. Gonna nip down to local engineering firm and have them turn it down. Even checked to make sure it wasn`t mixed up from my GSXR, had every tray and box open to look for an alternative that could have gone astray. My garage resembles a tip, now to tidy up.

Phew, crisis averted
