KR carb trouble

I cant seem to stop the hybrid flooding after fitting kr carbs, float valves are in good condition & clean, float height set to 19mm. I must be missing something Rolling Eyes getting fed up taking the bloody things on & off now..........................HELP Crying or Very sad

Try dropping a ball bearing down the jet hole & giving it a tap with a punch to make the hole perfectly round. This can rejuvenate them sometimes. Check there is no hair stopping the valve seating.

Not sure about float setting, try less to see if it helps.

Hello Mark,

Is it one carb or both? Possibly the floats snagging if on both? Sounds like it would be best to run a clear peice of pipe from the drain up the side of the carb to see exactly what is happening with the fuel level.

I'll be back on this evening so let me know if you want pics with the bowl off so you can compare.

When you turn a carb upside down are the float arms parallel with the bowl gasket face? It's a pretty good rule of thumb. I don't know what the height is supposed to be, but for a Mikuni VM 34mm, it's supposed to be ~ 24mm according to a site I found. Bump the height to say, 22mm, and see what happens.

n/m: can't use parallel if it looks like Example 1 ...
