Hi all,just joined up,picked up an old RD80 LC in the week,tis very poorly at mo,gonna be a long term restoration project i think,have already got so many other projects on the go,need to source a few spares,whats the availability like? forks... plastics... etc

Good luck it must be a knacker if garynosrobbo never bought it for his twenty seventh nos rd 80 rebuild.

Haha well i must admit,it aint a pretty one at the moment,but will be when i am finished,i can see it being yellow with the Freddie Spencer style black graphics

I just like Yams,the RD makes it 4 yams now,plus one Honda and a cheapy chinese Kymco thing Embarassed

The RD's wheels actually look quite good,just need a damn good clean,like the rest of the bike really,has been stood for about 7 years,does kick over ok but theres no spark,havent really looked into why there isnt,just need to finish a few of me other projects really Very Happy

Bloody lovely those 80 LCs! Absolutely adorable bikes. Wish they had been released Down Under, along with the 125 LC.

I can understand the soft spot a lot of blokes have for the AR80 mind - I had yonks of fun on mine. But I wor allus a bit envious of me mate who had a smart nick blue LC 80 ..... Cool
