ypvs 350 no spark

i started it a week ago fine now have no spark clean plugs and it will fire once will this be the cdi unit

my cdi number is 1ua-5.0 070000-1490 qab49 will any work?

Rich That's an F2 CDI which are usually very reliable. You need to replace it with another one the same but they are fairly common. Have you cleaned the CDI wiring connectors and checked the resistance of the stator coils?

Rich Test the coils with a decent multimeter. Unplug the connectors at the CDI and check following pairs of wires one at a time (loom side)

white/red to white/green: 93.6 to 140.4 ohms
brown to green: 128.8 to 193.2 ohms
brown to red: 3.6 to 4.5 ohms

my 31k had exactly same problem....stator plate!!!
mine o/c red to brown.

checked all of them all ok
brown to red is 4.7

sounds like a stupid reply but i had this problem,
turned out to be a wire in the engine kill switch earthing on the handlebar!
just a thought
