right .
this bike int sparks .
i have done the following...
new plug/cap......no joy.
taken the coil off and it measures fine and tried it on my other lc and NO probs.then tried one on my black lc on the mk3 ....nojoy.

checked the wiring end to end all perfect all connectors clean and then wd40'd and retested no "chopped" parts all measures all ok no shorts etc

tried the suspect cdi on my mates lc mk2...and his bike runs perfect on my cdi without any problems....but couldnt try his as meant taking his bike to bits to do.

stator... coils all read sort of ok but need someone to measure the coils yellow/brown
red/black
and the pick up coils these are the 2 pin redwhite/green white
i am sure its the stator.

however gonna buy a nos cdi to be safe.
please measure your coils and let me know.

the coils read on mine 150 ohms and 35 ohms and produce perfect ac waveform on an oscilloscope when the bike is kicked over fast and repaeatedly.

im stumped now....i knmow my lcs and never had so much trouble...

coil ok i am sure.
cdi on mates bike was spot on....
loom checks mint all ok.

oh i did disconnect the kill switch!!! and the ignition works fine.
even tried a new battery.
the servo whirs all ok on start up ..but wont spark int...sometimes it will fire but then 95% nope.
leg is tired and bike will not bump off and carb is also mint clean as it is original and i did clean it out all perfect.
compression is all ok and pipe is a new allspeed.
just cant get it to fire up!!!

anyone please help or a stator you can measure or sell would be good.
ta gaz

thios bike is totally original and timing is NOT an issue...bike never been apart.stator timing is preset and woodguf key is all ok and tdc is where the firing magnet is on pickup coil so all is ok timing wise...cheers

a 2 pin plug with redwhite/and greenwhite on it.
a 3 pin plug with all white wires
a 3 pin plug with black brown and sky blue
1 single yellow
1 single red with thin black stripe.
if this is same as yours then consider it sold if you want to sell.
(or trade)

i know it sounds ridiculous, but after a complete engine rebuild on my RD50, new spark plug, coil etc there was no spark. All the electrics read the correct readings. After many hours of being completly stumped, we decided to try the original plug. rusty as it was we thought what harm could it do. First kick burst into life. Just shows you can never trust even brand new plugs. NGK aswell :s i have replaced the rusted one with a nice working new one now by the way.

tried ignition switch and even by passed it with a jumper wire red to brown.

the kill switch was disconected as 2nd thing after 2 new plugs and swapping to a plug out of my running 125lc.
this is weird..
earth looks fine and bike never been apart and stator looks new.
