Hi . My RD is tuned and i race it. It was ok but now after a couple of laps at the track she wont rev above 5 0r 6,000 rpm. Leave it a while and it's ok again, i thought it was tank breather but i drained the tank into a petrol can and it's fine. Could float level be the prob. Runs great for about 2 miles. Then dies.
Its called Bakmarkaxcuse a well known problem among racers, even the most high profile racers suffer it, see Max Biaggi, Kenny Roberts jnr, etc
Its an inexplicable engine problem or misfire (unless of course your HRC when its an electrical problem) that generally strikes after you have been overtaken.
Generally doesnt strike on the first few laps and depends on the level of competition.
