Not that bad actually what with the price of pipes these days plus the cost to chrome those up is no small matter either.

Having said that of course, if I had a new pair I wasn't gonna

tony's pipes are same/ cheaper and couldnt believe what they were goin for!!!!
ive just had a pipe made for my rd 80 lc and yes i know its a one off pipe and time is money etc i was happy at the costs he made for me.
but those pipes im sure that everyone wants must be mad to pay over the odds for same thing tony makes???
whats the going rate at the moment for tonys speeds???thought it was around 300 mark

They are £350pr chromed at the moment for the LC and YPVS pipes. The ones on EBay are ones we would have made at least 6 months ago (as we have changed the header slightly), so they were £330pr then.
It is only the same as the NOS parts you see sell on Ebay everyday for more than you can still buy them from Yamaha. People have become too hooked on Ebay to see beyond it. I get customers in here all the time that will only buy from us on Ebay. They come in to collect something, then two weeks later come in again to collect. Why not ask us for it while they were here? Then it saves them a trip and normally money as well.

Only reason I can think that such an amount was paid, and lets face
it, to pay that sort of sausage, you're gonna know what they are and
what they're worth, can only be down to urgency.
Though I do agree Gaz, eBay is as bent as f**k..........
