Hi folks.
Due to a change of direction it's now time to sell my Heron Slabby.
It was a red/black japanese import GSXR750F when i bought it but as usual some of the fairing looked tatty so i set about changing her a little.
She has cost me over 2 grand to get to this stage and has had:
Extensive clean and powdercoat of all main bracketry (grabrail, grabrail mounts etc)
Wheels powdercoated satin black. (£70)
New tyres (£120)
New wheel bearings front and rear.
New old stock switchgear, left and right. (£90)
New chain. (£70)
New chainguard. (£35)
Complete new set of indicators. (£40)
Full New Hindle exhaust system (£500)
Heron Suzuki paintjob by PDF (£400)
New set of plugs, oil, filter, air filter etc (£50 +)
UK clocks (£70)
New Old stock fuel tap (£20)
As well as all of the above i have extensively cleaned her and repainted any parts that i thought were getting a bit tatty and the result is a nice fresh looking slabby that gets admiring glances and good comments wherever she's parked up.
The VEL expires at the end of october 2008 and she has a current valid MOT for another 10 months.
The bike (despite it's looks) benefits from being very original which is how i wanted to keep her and as you will see, comes with a rare seat hump (colour matched by PDF) a complete airbox and VM29ss carbs that sound awesome with the Hindle exhaust.
I'm not going to say she is mint or perfect but she is a good clean bike with even more potential in the hands of some of you folk. She is a little too flighty for me though and circumstances mean she has to go.
I have the V5 present in my name, numerous bills for the work carried out and the original key that fits all locks, (ignition, petrol cap, seat lock etc).
If you wish to make an offer or enquire about anything i may have missed please call me on 07841286421 or PM me. By the way, I'm not giving it away but i will sell it for a price reflective of the time and money spent on her.
I am after £1400 which is way under the money spent.
Regards, Lez.
Pictures to follow.
