rd forks interchangable with r5 ????

G,day guys.Can anyone tell me if the fork tubes from a r5 are interchangable with a 73 rd 350.my rd 350 tubes are buggered,any suggestions on any alternative forks I could use.

Will swap over no problem.
You can also use xs forks[34mm] if you want a twin disc set up.

the stanchions have different part numbers
R5 is 278-23124-50-00 while the RD350 part no is 351-23141-50-00
which suggests they are different although the spring for both bikes has the same part number (278-23141-50-00 for the pedants)

One possible reason for the different part numbers for the tubes is
the R5 tubes and caps are not threaded as deeply as the RDs.
Makes no difference in application as long as you keep the caps
and tubes mated.I don't know if this is the only difference-just
the only one I came across.
