Oi i'm getting sick of the noise. I welded together a set of baffels/silencers for the pipes and i did them pretty "breathy" compared to stock.
Now thing is, they look somewhat normal, have a section which is 18mm inside and a sh*tload of little holes but i didn't wrap any packing stuff around because i'm very, very lazy.
So would that help alot or is it just a waste of time? Is it even possible to say?

You could weld a cap at the end of the can
or better, run it without fuel

The noise was getting to me too so I bought a set of earplugs Billy. The advantage of this solution is that you will still be loud enough for everybody to know where you are on the road (except the old deaf guys) .

Packing will help damp down the noise and make it sound a little deeper as well

Huh that's cool, didn't know that.
Well then, i'll do it asap. It's just as you say, it attracts every damn cop from miles away and the sound is pretty "pingy" and solid.
Hehe, i was riding a couple of days ago and i had no problems with the sound and didn't notice anything unusual. And then my ears kind of "locked themselves up" (dunno what you call it) and it sounded like both of the baffles fell out at the same time.
So i pulled over and checked but the baffles were still there. And then i started thinking about doing something about it.
