hello there everyone, some of you know me, lol, not been on here for ages Shocked

bit of an update, passed my full bike test 2 years ago - yep its been that long, had a bandit, which recently had to sell due to loss of my job Sad

right on the good news side, I am now no longer single, though not married of course.

My partner Matt is a Brewer, and has moved 351 miles to be with me.... we are currently setting up a Brewery up here in cumbria, making real ale, the weakest being our summer ale at 3.5% and strongest our christmas ale which will be around 5%

We have put 10k into the business ourselves, but are looking for funding to complete and get the first brew out.

Our funder wants pre orders to show that the business is viable and this is where you lot could come into it.

We have done this before with Landy Owners Club.co.uk with great sucess. 4 Landy ales were made available with club landies on the labels, the names of the ales were also landy related ie:

EP90 - featuring TUBS (my landy)
Old Sump Oil - featuring The Red Shed (Matts Landy)
Broken Half Shaft - featuring Serious III (Miles Landy)
P90 - featuring Project 90 LRM project landy now owned by Dave James

What I would like you all to think about is would you like a selection of Ales - 3 initially and one special

Choose which bikes will be on the labels
Choose what names you would like
and put the bikes/names and strengths together.

Our Ales will be as follows:
3.5% - summer ale
4% - session ale
4.5% -strong ale
5% - one off yearly special brewed from October

it will be great if you are interested, delivery charges are not cheap (usually an extra £10 per box), but as Matt and I travel up and down the country to shows and his parents down in suffolk there may be mutual drop off places that would work. or have our main drop offs at shows Wink

sorry I have not been on much, life has changed a lot in the past 3 years Very Happy mainly for the better.

Welcome back!

You should put some prices up, to give peeps an idea of costs.....include bottle size, how many in a box, and how much per box....

bottles are 500ml
you get 12 to a box
and price works out at approx £18 - £20 cost varies due to the duty paid on the %vol we can do mixed boxes too.

as well as bottles we can do demi and poly pins they come in 18 or 36 pint bags in boxes. great for partys

18pint box £25 - £30
36pint £42 - £50

Now what we did for the Landy Owners Club was personalising the bottles so that they were club oriented, with names and pictures chosen by the club.

hope that helps Very Happy

oakspeed heres a few ideas.
gavin ale, in a 20ml bottle. might be small, but its the greatest ale ever.

ardon ale. smells and tastes like sh*t, only 1% so it can be knocked back by 11 yr olds, could be sold in a pink checked bottle.

Very Happy

I have added a poll, If you want Ale/Ales specifically brewed and labelled for the club then great, if not then fine no worries Cool

If people are interested then we can set up a pre order thing for deliveries starting September 2008.

Wen Very Happy

I made some home brew Ardon's special lager a while ago and tried to drink some of it!

Never again!!!

I gave it all to 'Irish the goat' our resident piss head - and he said it was great but it got him so pissed that he cant remember anything of the week before he supped it!!!

Ah beer - luverly. A mate of mine here in Cambridge has set up a micro brewery and was doing quite well last time I spoke to him. Think his firm's called "Watch Brewery", I know one of his most popular beers is called "Red watch". Nice to see beer coming from somewhere other than the corrupt and greedy big Breweries in this country. Personaly I'd love to see the price of beer halfed then maybe the pubs would become the excellent places that they were in the 70s.

Ah, it's the "Moonshine" brewery. Marks a nice guy,(two stroke fan too, he's got a Bazooki T250), I'm sure he would help out if you need any advice.
