Hi there guys, can someone give some input on the correct gearing needed for my hybrid.Standard gearing with 18" rims is 39t&16t.I'm going to be running 17"'s and need a 17t on the front so that the chain clears the swing arm. What do I run on the back to keep the ratio?

Help appreciated.

Rich I run 17/39 on both my Hybrid and Yamagamma. Both have 17 inch rear wheels.

depends on the tyre size, but a 150/70 -17 rear is pretty close to a 110/80-18 in overall size, so doesnt really affect gearing much.

i did this on excel a few years ago, just stick the numbers of the tyre in and the gear ratios and it will tell you max speed in each gear etc.
