Rich I just bought a few keihin main jets from Wemoto so I can fine tune the PWKs on my yamagamma but when they arrived, they are 9mm long and not 8mm as stated. This means they will just touch the inside of the float bowl so it cannot be fitted properly. They are otherwise identical to the ones I removed. Anyone else has this problem? It's hard to spot without measuring the length of the jets. The part number for these jets should be 99-101-393 but Wemoto said they have no data for the length and have not come across this before? However, they are going to refund me no problem. I have just ordered some replacements from Allens so hope they get here before the dyno day on Saturday!

I would really question how well the standard jets will flow, if you have less than a mm between the jet and float bowl, that doesn't leave a lot of room for the petrol to flow in and go up the jet!! I don't know what the solution is, but that is a very small clearance to have inside the carb.

Rich The bottom of the float bowl isn't flat, it has a round recess in the centre and the bottom of the jet sits inside this recess in a pool of fuel. However, in the recess are various castings for the drain screws etc and the edge of the jet is norrmally just above one of these castings. The longer jet touches it and just stops the bowl from seating against the carb body. tricky to explain so I'll grab some pics later Wink

you could have just filed the bottom of the jet down a tad.
